Plant a Pollinator Patch

A window box that feeds bees all summer.

⏱️ 1 hour + growing🧑 Grown-up helper needed

What you need

  • A pot or window box
  • Compost
  • Bee-friendly seeds (borage, cosmos, lavender, marigold)

What you do

  1. Fill the pot with compost and press it down gently.
  2. Sprinkle seeds and cover with a thin layer of compost.
  3. Water with a fine spray.
  4. Keep it damp and sunny.
  5. Count how many different pollinators visit each week.

What's really happening

Pollinators need flowers from spring to autumn. Mixed planting means there's always something in bloom.
