Cows are curious, social animals. They make close friendships, learn quickly, and can recognise dozens of other cows and the people who care for them.

Sanctuary: rescued animals stay for life and are never sold or bred.
Shelter: animals stay a while, then hopefully move to a new home.
Zoo: animals are kept for people to see; good ones also do conservation and research.
Wildlife hospital: wild animals are treated and then released.
Farm: animals are raised to produce food.
A note about our characters
Daisy, Milo and friends are made up — animals don't speak English. But everything they tell you about how they live, feel and communicate comes from real scientific research.
