'Fining agents' are added during winemaking to remove haze. Traditional agents include isinglass, casein, albumin and gelatin. Vegan alternatives include bentonite clay, pea protein and activated charcoal.
Barnivore.com lists 50,000+ wines, beers and spirits by vegan status. Most major supermarket own-brands now label wine as vegan.
